Charity of the Month | Big C Cancer Charity

At CIM each year we embark on a journey to honour 12 incredible local charities through our exclusive printed charity calendar. Each month we shine the spotlight on one charity, highlighting the work they do in our community.

To kick start 2024, representing January is local Cancer charity, Big C Cancer Charity. For over 40 years, Big C has been supporting those affected by cancer in Norfolk and North Suffolk. The charity helps support patients, families, and friends impacted by the illness by providing support and information online and in their centres. The Big C are dedicated in the fight against cancer. Over the past 7 years the charity has invested £2.3 million into cancer research carried out at Norwich Research Park. The charity also provides funding for medical equipment in our regions hospitals and offer education to the public and healthcare professionals.

The Big Cuppa 2024

To commemorate World Cancer Day, Sunday the 4th February, Big C invite the community to host their own Big Cuppa event to support the charity. Local businesses and the public help raise vital funds for the charity by coming together for a cuppa and a slice of cake.

We are hosting our own Big Cuppa on the 2nd February 10am-12.30pm and we’d love for you to join us.

Why did we choose the Big C?

We have attended some of The Big C’s events over the past few years and we can see how much heart and passion they put into raising money for this great cause. We recently took part in their Foot Golf tournament with our team coming home with the winners’ medals. We are now working closely with The Big C team and want to give back where we can.
